We count on all of our attendees to help foster an environment where everyone feels welcome and safe.
By purchasing this ticket, you are agreeing to act responsibly and to follow all rules set by Bavaria Downs and Letters of Love, as well as Minnesota state laws, including those regarding alcohol use. Refusal to do so or damages caused to venue property will result in immediate removal. The ticket holder assumes all risks to their person and property throughout the duration of the Gala. The ticket holder agrees to attend the Gala in a reasonable and responsible manner. Phone numbers are collected at check-out only for day-of event notifications. You will not be subscribed to any other email or text services. Letters of Love reserves the right to photograph the event and use photos in future marketing.
cocktail hour
The event will kick off with time to mingle with the other guests. Grab a cocktail or mocktail and some hors d'oeuvres introduce yourself to some people you don’t know, and explore the activities set up throughout the venue.
card making
It wouldn’t be a Letters of Love event without writing some notes! We ask that you take some time during the event to make a card (or two) for one of our LOL Heroes.
games
The Gala is a chance to celebrate the Letters of Love community and enjoy time spent together. The lawn will be set up with yard games and board games that you can play with your friends and fellow guests. There will be a kid's zone with crafts and activities for our littlest guests. We hope you’ll meet a new friend and continue to build the connections that make Letters of Love so special.

We at Letters of Love are firm believers in the joy of handmade crafts. There will be opportunities to make trinkets like friendship bracelets, baby blankets, and paintings that will be donated.

Part way through the evening, a light dinner will be served. Jump in the buffet line and fill up your plate with food from D'amico Hospitality.
speeches
During the evening, you’ll hear from kids who have received cards from Letters of Love, students involved in our clubs, and nonprofit leadership.
dance party
It's a LOL Gala tradition to end the night with a dance party for the teens who truly do the hard work of Letters of Love — our club members! Students and young adults are welcome to join in the festivities, and the celebration for the rest of the guests will continue outside of the ballroom.

what should I wear?
The Gala is a rare chance for adults and kids alike to play dress up. While the dress code is technically “formal,” we want you to be comfortable and confident. We recommend full length dresses and suits, but wear whatever makes you feel most glamorous.
parking
We will have valet service available! If you can carpool to the event, please do so to help us reduce the impact on both the environment and the parking lots. More details will be communicated with ticket holders as the event approaches.
Letters of Love is pleased to announce its first-ever Luminary of the Year competition! This fundraising challenge will empower motivated young adults to spread the mission and heart of Letters of Love.
We invite dedicated students to apply for the Luminary of the Year competition. Selected Luminary Candidates will raise funds and awareness in the eight weeks leading up to the 2026 Gala.
Over the next several months, Luminary Candidates will become stronger community leaders and learn from dedicated mentors. Click below for more information and to apply. The application closes Feb. 21.
The Gala is our largest fundraising event and allows us to financially support our clubs and nonprofit operations throughout the year. We rely on the generous support of individuals across the globe to help us create a kinder world and inspire young people to become big-hearted leaders in their communities.
